The Director of FP&A will support the VP of Finance and Tax by conducting financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role will utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis of operational aspects of the company to evaluate the company's progress toward achieving goals and map out future goals and plans. This role will consider economic and business trends, review past company performance, and attempt to anticipate obstacles and potential problems, all with an eye toward forecasting the company’s future financial results.The Director of FP&A will oversee a broad array of financial affairs, including income, expenses, taxes, capital expenditures, investments, and financial statements, by examining, analyzing, and evaluating the entirety of the company's financial activities, and mapping out the company’s financial future.In this role, the incumbent will lead the annual budget process, monthly forecast process, monthly internal reporting, quarterly board and public reporting process, support departments, and plants by providing timely financial reporting and analysis, lead the commercial finance function and corporate reporting function, and engage in or lead special projects as needed. This role will lead a team of finance managers and analysts, and help them to develop their careers and specialties.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Manage the overall company Budget and Forecast processes
- Assist in departmental, plant site and project budgetary planning
- Demonstrate business acumen and technical & managerial capabilities 
- Oversee and reinforce that departments, plant sites, and projects adhere to their budgets
- Work with business unit heads to forecast revenue and expenditure over the short term and long term periods
- Receive instructions from the CEO and VP of Finance & Tax, delegate and ensure that financial analysts follow them effectively
- Improve the processes that FP&A uses to create, forecasts and analyze historical data. - Identify ways to cut costs and guide senior management to implement the changes.
- Practice constant awareness of the company’s financial status and act proactively to foresee and mitigate issues  
- Partner with HR to recruit and training new hires for the department 
- Set targets for and supervise all direct reports to help them to achieve set targets
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

 

Qualifications: 

- Bachelors Degree Required

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preffered

- MBA/CPA preferred

- Proven experience as finance director/VP or similar role
- 5 years plus in finance leadership role with demonstrated management experience 
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting, and demonstrated experience leading annual budgets

- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
