Position Description:
At Seaspan, our transformational initiatives are reshaping the way we operate, innovate, and deliver value. The Change Manager, Enterprise will be a critical enabler of this journey—helping to establish and operationalize a centralized Change Management (“CM”) function for Seaspan.
Reporting to the Head of Business Transformation, Corporate & Finance, the Change Manager, Enterprise will design the CM framework, develop repeatable templates and toolkits, and establish a sustainable approach to accelerate adoption, training, and communication across a pilot of enterprise-wide initiatives.
The role will partner with Transformation, IT, HR, Corporate Communications, and functional leaders to standardize how we prepare, enable, and reinforce change at Seaspan. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and organizational needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Build the Change Management Function

In collaboration with the Head of Business Transformation, Corporate & Finance, develop and implement a standardized Enterprise Change Management framework aligned with company culture and transformational goals

Design change playbooks, templates, toolkits, and reporting dashboards for consistent use across projects

Define the governance model and integrate change management checkpoints into project delivery frameworks
Drive Change for Active Transformation Initiatives

Partner with project leads to plan and execute change strategies for key digital and process transformation programs

Lead impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, and readiness planning to support adoption

Create and manage communication plans, ensuring messages are clear, timely and audience-appropriate
Build Capability & Culture

Develop scalable approaches for training, onboarding, and knowledge management using modern tools (AI-assisted, microlearning, interactive video etc.)

Create “how‑to” standards for micro‑learning (2–3 min) and knowledge articles

Coach leaders and project sponsors on their role in driving change and fostering adoption
- Establish success metrics and feedback loops to measure adoption, engagement and business impact
Set the Foundation for Future Growth

Identify resourcing and process needs to scale the change management function as the company matures

Ensure content and processes align with Seaspan policies and controlled document standards
Requirements:

6+ years in organizational change management with proven experience standing up or scaling a change management or learning & development function

Familiarity with frameworks such as PROSCI/ADKAR or Lean Change principles

Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels

Experience in developing training and adoption materials

Background in large-scale enterprise-wide system or process implementations

High adaptability and continuous learning mindset to keep up with emerging technologies.
Additional Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with audit, SOX-adjacent readiness criteria, or regulated environments

Certification in Change Management (PROSCI, CCMP, or equivalent) preferred
Compensation and Benefits Package:
Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $137,000 CAD per annum. 15% contract completion bonus upon successful achievement of KPIs. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.
