Position Description:

The Corporate Development Analyst (“the Analyst”) will focus on strategic financing and non f inancing opportunities for Atlas. Primary responsibilities for the position will include analysis of alternatives and project execution related to financing, corporate development, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships. The Analyst will work directly with the business stakeholders to undertake f inancial research and support business decisions. This position requires creative thinking, independent work, and the ability to communicate effectively. This role will also hold responsibility to create materials for external audiences in financial markets, and analysis of customer, credit, and equity research on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates strategic financing and non-financing opportunities for Atlas.
  • Performs detailed and extensive financial modeling and analysis of opportunities to support recommendations and form conclusions.
  • Applies and incorporates critical analysis beyond financial modeling such as industry and capital markets outlooks and relative performance benchmarking.
  • Reviews relevant documents such as financing agreements, term sheets and partnership agreements.
  • Operates as a key point of contact for business stakeholders across the organization, connecting Corporate Development and Capital Markets with other business units and senior management.
  • Manages due diligence for and supports the execution of financing transactions and non f inancing strategic projects.
  • Creates materials for capital markets and other financing initiatives including presentations and other materials for transactions, rating agency reviews, general lending partner use.
  • Produces memoranda to support potential strategic financing and non-financing projects.
  • Identifies and recommends creative avenues to the support and improve the business.
  • Monitors Atlas, peer, industry and capital markets including regular reviews of Atlas operating results.
  • Collaboratively, across departments develops and helps implement strategies to increase revenue, improve operations, strengthen financial controls, and increase shareholder value.
  • Establishes and maintains relationship with industry, trade and professional organizations.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in finance, corporate development or investment banking, with strong knowledge of supporting company investment transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to create detailed cash flow forecast models.
  • Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Clear, concise writing skills with strong interpersonal and communication.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Self-starter and ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.

 

Aditional Desired Qualifications:

  • Additional languages are preferred but not required.
  • Experience in investment banking and private or public investing functions are preferred but not required.

 

Job Demands and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility to meet deadline demands or global time zones required.
  • Occasional travel may be required and may be on short notice.
