The IT Service Delivery Intern works with the Service Delivery team to provide Tier 1 and some Tier 2 support to our shore-side and fleet users. They are responsible for providing support across various systems and hardware including business applications, workplace productivity tools, laptops, and mobile devices. The successful intern will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure client satisfaction with operational and project related issues.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide both telephone and desk-side second-level support for desktops, laptops, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Based Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 10/11), iOS, telecommunications, and suite of Seaspan’s business applications.

Configure, install, and update laptops and peripherals based on service requests, computer evergreen program or as otherwise assigned. Perform desktop application installations, upgrades, and support and maintenance activities.

Contribute to and maintain support documentation including documenting operational processes as related to the operations of the IT Service Delivery team.

Deliver exceptional customer service skills which include the passion to go above and beyond exceeding client expectations

Provide operating and administration functions including user setup, configuration and management for systems and business applications. These responsibilities include:

creation and termination of Network / O365 user accounts

managing the rights and permissions of network/email accounts

creation and termination of user accounts for business applications

managing the rights and permissions of accounts for business applications

creation of group permissions and rights to file directories

Requirements:

Education in computer science, engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Good understanding of the Microsoft office suite

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Willingness to learn new technology and systems

Ability to lift 10kg

Sufficient mobility to complete cabling and setup tasks
Compensation:
This is a 4-month temporary full-time role. Seaspan’s compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The compensation range for this position is $21-$23/hr. The exact base pay offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.
