Intern - Treasury



Position Description:

Atlas is seeking a highly motivated and driven Intern for a 4-month period to support the Corporate Treasury team. You will work closely with the Corporate Treasury team on various projects spanning managing corporate liquidity, cash and debt for a global organization. This includes supporting all levels of the Treasury with its day-to-day operations, and preparing documents and presentations for management, events and/or meetings. This is a rare opportunity to obtain invaluable exposure across corporate treasury activities.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Master Bank Account list, ensuring list is kept current, including signatories, administrators, and banking functionalities for all bank accounts globally

  • Updates and maintains accuracy of all bank documentation with global banking partners including resolutions and certificates of incumbency

  • Assures accounts are set up on the company's TMS accurately and  efficiently

  • Assess and analyze bank charges to ensure that they are aligned across the board

  • Prepare KYC documentation as required for opening new accounts as well as for meeting banking requirements for existing accounts  

  • In accordance with established guidelines and targets, performs daily operational activities for Treasury, including ensuring that various payments and transfers are performed, approved and released in accordance with organization policies and practices

  • Liaison with subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely accumulation of data for cash forecasting purposes

  • Reports cash position and liquidity to internal stakeholders

  • Updates various reports related to interest rates, customer payments, principal, interest and commitment fee payments, and cash flow

  • Assist with the Treasury Finance Transformation project which includes creating a payment Hub and automating the bank reconciliation process

  • Assists team members in preparing presentations to the board of directors, senior management, investors and lenders

  • Assist team members with entering loan deals related to New Build facilities in Treasury Management system (GTreasury)

  • Scope of role/tasks is dependent upon performance and skill level

  • Any other duties as assigned by Associate Manager Treasury


  • 2nd or 3rd year university student in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics with a strong interest in international business

  • A genuine interest in finance

  • Self-starter willing to get involved in multiple projects

  • Well experienced with Excel and Powerpoint

  • Attention to detail

  • Scope of role/tasks is dependent upon performance and skill level
