Position Description:
The Business Transformation Analyst supports growth and operational performance through data analysis, process improvement, and digital transformation. The role partners with business, finance, fleet operations, and technical teams to identify improvement opportunities, define requirements, and drive execution. The analyst evaluates workflows, validates technical and business needs, and helps implement solutions that strengthen efficiency across vessel and shore functions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Partner with business, technical, crewing, marine standards, procurement, and analytics teams to analyze workflows and improvement priorities.
· Conduct interviews, operational observations, and workshops to capture detailed business requirements. Develop business cases, stakeholder analysis, use cases, business value assessments, and strategic planning inputs for Business Transformation initiatives.
· Works with teams to enhance company performance through process improvement initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and resource reallocation.
· Map current processes across fleet operations, technical management, crewing, procurement, safety, and performance. Design future workflows that support standardization and simplification.
· Support initiatives in ERP modernization, fleet performance dashboards, predictive maintenance, system integrations, and data accuracy verification.
· Assists in developing Seaspan's Knowledge Management System by mapping, analyzing, and redesigning business processes focused on simplification and technology integration.
· Support change management efforts, including SOPs, training content, onboard and onshore engagement, and adoption tracking. Facilitate feedback loops across fleet and office.
· Coordinates internal and external resources across functions to ensure projects align with organizational programs and strategies.
· Provides support for executive projects, including the preparation and submission of approvals and reports.
· Engages with internal and external contacts for benchmarking and analysis projects concerning operational and financial performance.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree. Preference for Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, or similar
· Minimum 3 years experience in business performance management, KPI development, and change management.
· Experience with process analysis, process mapping, business case development or strategy planning and execution.
· Experience working with maritime operations, technical functions, or marine engineering is preferred due to the operational nature of the role. General understanding of corporate structures and business concepts
· Strong analytical and documentation skills with proficiency in Visio, Miro, Power BI, and Excel.
· Executive-level communication, presentation skills, with proficient writing style · Sound organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Detail-oriented and resourceful with a solution-driven attitude
Additional Desired Qualifications:
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
·Marine engineering background or sailing experience is an advantage.
·Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher for process improvement.
·Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP/ PBA
