Position description:
The Human Resources Manager will be directly supporting select senior leaders and their regional management teams in the company, in an advisory capacity. This support includes activities such as employee relations, talent management, employee training & development, talent acquisitions, HR program implementation, workforce planning and HR processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Director, HRBP, delivers Human Resources services that effectively communicate and support the organization’s mission, vision and values
- Manages the HR and Office Services team in India and ensures consistency of services across the globe, creating a one-team approach
- Partners with the centers of expertise (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Benefits) for an integrated HR service delivery model and best-in class HR service
- Develops effective communication and relationships with the regional leaders and broader leadership team
- Drives effective HR processes through leveraging consultative and strategic services, while maintaining necessary regulatory compliance
- Supports local talent acquisition initiatives to deliver best-in class talent, focused on quality candidates and in support of critical metrics
- Advocates for and champions a culture of embracing change and continuous improvement
- Provides ‘hands-on’, practical HR solutions to leaders and teams within the business unit. The business unit will be primarily be the Mumbai office and HRBP partnership to the Crewing and Procurement teams, but may change over time, including support to Hiong Kong and Singapore offices
- Seeks to continuously improve HR service delivery, including employee relations support, talent management programs, HR administration excellence, best leveraging HR data for performance
- Promotes and delivers a talent experience that integrates diversity and inclusion practices
- Holds the leadership team accountable to making measurable strides toward excellence in team performance
- Partners with client group leaders to develop workforce plans for short and long term workforce needs
- Contributes to leadership development that result in leaders who have a focus on building effective teams and creating advancement opportunities
- Ensures that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures
- Communicates expectations to direct reports, manages performance, and provides leadership and support to team members

- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of team management in Human Resources, providing team coaching and support; 10-15 years of HR Generalist experience, with two+ years performing as a strategic business partner desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and good writing style
Additional desired qualifications:
- Professional HR designation or a Master’s degree is an asset
- Experience in a publicly traded company, professional services firm or logistics/ship management company
- Knowledge of payroll processing (Review and approval)
