Power Platform Data Specialist

Position Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and innovative Data Analyst – Power Platform Specialist to join our Data Development team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Data Development, the Data Analyst – Power Platform Specialist develops user-centric applications, automation workflows, and insightful dashboards using Microsoft Power Platform tools.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and developers to ensure cohesive, end-to-end solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy Model-Driven Power Apps using Dataverse and custom logic.
  • Develop efficient and reliable Power Automate flows to automate manual tasks.
  • Create impactful, interactive Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Build robust, scalable data models that support app functionality and reporting.
  • Apply UI/UX design principles to deliver clean, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks.
  • Use design thinking and agile methodologies to deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions.
  • Balance short-term needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Write clear, structured documentation for app logic, architecture, and user flows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and developers to gather requirements, align solutions, and support development lifecycle.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Power Automate, and Model-Driven Power Apps.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse and Power Platform architecture.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to design creative, scalable solutions.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and ability to translate ideas into functional prototypes.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on translating business needs into data solutions.

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with DAX, Power Query (M), or SQL.
  • Exposure to agile development and DevOps tools for Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data integration patterns or ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
  • Relevant certifications in related fields are a plus.

 

Job Demands and/or Physical Requirements:

  • As Seaspan is a global company, occasional work outside of regular office hours may be required. 

 

Compensation and Benefits Package:

Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.

Please note that while this position is open in both Vancouver and Mumbai, it represents a single headcount. The role will be filled in one of the two locations based on candidate availability and suitability, determined by the hiring team.
