Position Description:

Reporting to the Team Lead, Data and Analytics, the Microsoft Power Platform Developer is responsible for developing and supporting ongoing operations, solution delivery and transformation project activities related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and PowerBI). Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining security and compliance standards, adhering to data governance, preparation of documentation and supporting critical initiatives. This role applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure client satisfaction with both operational and project related issues.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute on the overall administration and support of Seaspan’s Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform environments, including developments for enhancements and bug-fixes, maintaining environment health and functionality, troubleshooting issues, problem management, account management, and monitoring.
  • Maintain a deep and current understanding of end user facing cloud technologies and collaboration tools including MS 365 CRM Dynamics, Power Apps, Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse and others.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with technical and business stakeholders as needed.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end implementations of target workloads.
  • Assist with the development of cloud design standards related to Power Platform components.
  • Follow a formal change management process for new deployments and for incident reporting and resolution.
  • Recommend solutions and enhancements using Power Platform components to improve both internal efficiency and productivity by finding opportunities to optimize existing processes and tools.


Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and developing M365 Power Automate (Flows) and Power Apps. 
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI report development. 
  • In depth product knowledge in MS Dynamics CRM suits and strength in analyzing business requirements and designing solutions that increase the user productivity and business benefits. 
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics platform, the entity model, security model, and web services. 
  • Experience of implementing MS Dynamics CRM 2011, CRM 2013, CRM 2016, or (On-Premises/Online) Dynamics 365
  • Hands on experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development and data mapping.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance center and Cloud App Security as it pertains to Power Platform governance and best practice.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft MFA and SSO.
  • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and experience working cohesively with related IT teams

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in MS CRM customization using java script, plug-in, workflow activity, web resources, web services
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps certifications
  • Experience with .NET Framework and C# development experience including experience with the CRM API, REST/ODATA and SOAP endpoints. 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps to manage solution development, code repositories, release management and deployment pipelines. 
  • Hands-on experience architecting solutions that involve Dynamics customization to include custom business logic, integration modules, workflow assemblies and plug-ins.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to drive and manage change.
  • Adhere to IT best practices, methodologies, and disciplines.
  • Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities, reprioritize tasks, establish priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt in a complex and changing environment.
