Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. Your expertise will help streamline business processes, improve decision-making, and enhance data-driven outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and create innovative solutions that improve efficiency and performance. Additionally, you will ensure the security, governance, and optimization of the Power Platform environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Development and Enhancement:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reports to meet business needs.
- Debug and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to improve functionality and performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Administration and Governance:
- Manage and maintain the Power Platform environments, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
- Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, security, and reliability.
- Implement security best practices and manage data governance to protect sensitive data within the Power Platform.
- Ensure adherence to governance policies, including data quality, security, and compliance standards.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with the latest Power Platform updates, features, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI Builder, RPA, and other advanced capabilities to automate processes and introduce innovation.
- Identify opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and improving business processes using Power Platform solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of data governance, data policies, and report governance.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing Power Platform solutions.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, reporting, and visualization concepts.
- Familiarity with security configurations, including role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional/Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals, App Maker).
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Power Automate.
- Proficiency in SQL for database management and querying to support Power Platform solutions.
- Experience with AI Builder for integrating AI capabilities into solutions.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles for creating user-friendly interfaces in Power Apps.
Job Demands and/or Other Physical Requirements:
- As Seaspan is a global company, occasional work outside of regular office hours may be required.
Compensation and Benefits package:
Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $83,900 - $100,600 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive total rewards package which includes an annual performance-based bonus, a comprehensive benefits package (extended health, dental, life and disability insurance), retirement savings plan matching and other company-provided rewards.
