Technology Team Coordinator

Position Description:

The Technology Team Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support to the Technology leadership team, helping ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and team engagement.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and coordinates Technology town halls and team events
  • Manages documentation and records, including creating and organizing files and completing and storing confidential documents
  • Processes certain invoices for the Technology department and ensures proper coding for all expenditures
  • Schedules business travel for Technology senior leadership, including booking of flights, hotels, submitting visa applications, etc.
  • Coordinates calendars and schedules meetings and events
  • Maintains department contact information and distribution groups
  • Develops standardized templates and processes to improve efficiency of department administration
  • Attends department meetings and records minutes as required
  • Helps to drive employee engagement in the department through coordination of events, sending birthday messages, recognition messages, planning team building activities, etc.
  • Performs other general administrative duties as required 

 

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in coordinator or administrative role
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and apply proper coding practices for financial transactions
  • Experience or aptitude for identifying opportunities to streamline and improve administrative processes
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and good writing style
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Event planning experience
  • Experience preparing engaging internal communications 

 

Job Demands and/or Physical Requirements:

  • As Seaspan is a global company, occasional work outside of regular office hours may be required

 

Compensation and Benefits Package:

Seaspan’s total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $58,000 - $65,000 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.
