Seaspan is seeking a highly motivated and driven Intern to support the Corporate Treasury team. You will work closely with the Corporate Treasury team on various projects spanning managing corporate liquidity, cash, and debt for a global organization. This includes supporting all levels of Treasury with its day to day operations, preparing documents and presentations for management, events and/or meetings. This is a rare opportunity to obtain invaluable exposure across the spectrum of corporate treasury activities.
Responsibilities:

Ensure accounts are set up on the company's Treasury Management System (GTreasury) accurately and efficiently.

Assess and analyze bank charges for all bank accounts to ensure that they are aligned across the board.

Assist in assigning correct Transaction Assignment (TA) rules in TMS to enhance accuracy of Treasury reports.

In accordance with established guidelines and targets, perform daily operational activities for Treasury

Liaison with subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely accumulation of data for various reporting activities

Assist team with bank account maintenance activities including KYC and signatory updates

Update various reports related to interest rates, payments, financing fees, vessel valuations, insurance and cash flow.

Assist with the tracking and monitoring of monthly Treasury KPIs and preparing periodic reports based on findings.

Assist team members in preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Assist team members with entering loan deals related to New Build facilities in Treasury Management system (GTreasury).

Assist in projects related to process improvement and automations.

Job Requirements:

2nd or 3rd year university student in Business, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics with a strong interest in international business.

A genuine interest in finance.

Self-starter willing to get involved in multiple projects.

Well experienced with Excel and PowerPoint

Attention to detail.

Compensation:
This is a 4-month temporary full-time role. Seaspan’s compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The compensation range for this position is $21-$23/hr. The exact base pay offered will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity.
